Jio Glass- Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani during its 43rd Annual General Meeting ( AGM) showcased a new Mixed Reality solution, called Jio Glass. At the event, the company did not reveal the pricing and availability details about the product. How ever, they did showcase a demo to show the Jio Glass will work when it is made available to the public.
Jio Glass can be connected with the phone to help you make video calls, and host meetings in a 2D holographic environment. Designed by Jio Platforms’ Tesseract subsidiary, Jio Glass is already compatible with 25 mixed reality apps.

What is Jio Glass
Jio Glass is based on mixed reality and powered by both cellular and wireless networks using the paired phone, much like how the recently launched Snap Spectacles 3 work. Jio Glass is the marquee product developed by the team of Jio Platforms, which have freshly raised over Rs 33 crore from Google after huge investments from over 13 other firms.

Reliance Jio Glass Specifications
The Jio Glass weight in at 75 grams and comes with spatial audio, so the meetings have crystal clear audio. The smart glasses support all audio and video formats and support 25 video conferencing and collaboration apps, one of them being JioMeet that was launched recently as an answer to Zoom. There are high-resolution frame screens in place of regular lenses.
It looks just like any normal pair of sunglasses at the outset but is thicker in some places to integrate the sensors and necessary hardware. It essentially pair with your smartphone and amplifies apps into the 3D augmented world.
The glasses come with support for spatial and directional XR sound system that runs all audio formats without any wired attachment. As mentioned, the mixed reality headset comes with 2 mixed reality applications compatibility across genres like entertainment, learning, gaming, shopping, and productivity.
The headset has a high-resolution display, and there are vents in the frame for heat dissipation. The company claims users can easily make calls using the Jio Glass through voice commands like “Hello Jio, please call XXX and YYY.” The Jio Glass enables users to make a holographic video call in which you can also share, discuss, and deliberate on projects and presentations on a large screen. It is also possible to enable virtual interactions through a 3D virtual avatar or even in a 2D manner.
Reliance Jio Glass Price and Availability
While the company did no reveal the pricing and the availability details at the event, Jio Glass is expected to cost around $200c (INR 14000). The device, which will soon available for both individual use and business in India, will be shipping starting next month in August.

Reliance Jio also announced a new mixed reality product called Jio Glass, which supports holographic video calling amongst other applications.
